Dear John:
Thank you for speaking to me today regarding the episode with [my child] last Saturday.
Rest assured my boyfriend, Jon Goodwin, has never threatened [my child] or even put his hands on her. He's never done anything to my kids, except protect them and me. That includes [my child]. He's a good guy. If the circumstances were different, I'd introduce him to you.
I'd like to confirm some facts from our conversation as follows:
- [My child] told you Jon threatened her.
- You told me the reason you went looking for [my child] is because I stopped by your home looking for her and you didn't know where she was until you found her.
- You told me you first spoke to Ray on the phone in the car after you picked [my child] up.
Please let me know if I misinterpreted anything.
You sounded upset when I asked you how many times you spoke to Ray. I'm sorry I had to ask that question. If you could let me know the number of times you spoke to Ray that evening and the times and duration of your calls with him, it would help me establish a timeline and avoid my inconveniencing you later.
Did [my child] say anything else about why she ran away? If there is anything else you can think of that happened that night you believe is important, please let me know.
