Lawyer Robert Serafinowicz's Antisocial Conduct

Lawyer Robert Serafinowicz has a history of violence, scrapes with the law and violations of the Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct as follows:

1. On March 6, 2013, Serafinowicz was suspended from practicing law for 120 days and ordered to "take and complete 1 course in legal ethics and professional responsibility," Disciplinary Counsel v. Robert Serafinowicz, Docket No. UWY-CV13-6018974, (Taylor, J);

2. On August 12, 2016, Serafinowicz was suspended 120 days, stayed after 10 days, Disciplinary Counsel v. Serafinowicz, Docket No. UWY-CV16-6032178-S, (Taylor, J);

3. On September 7, 2022, Serafinowicz was arrested for slapping another attorney outside the Derby courthouse and, on November 16, 2023, pled guilty to violating C.G.S. § 53a (Assault 3rd Degree) (see State v. Serafinowicz, Dkt. No. M09M-CR22-0189924-T) (see ;

4. On November 29, 2022, Serafinowicz was arrested and thereafter charged with violations of C.G.S. § 53a-181d(b)3B (Stalking), a Class A Misdemeanor and C.G.S. § 53a-183 (Harassment 2nd Degree), a Class C Misdemeanor, to which he pled Nolo Contendere and was found guilty (see State v Serafinowicz, DN: H14H-CR22-0753454-S); and

5. On October 3, 2023, Serafinowicz was suspended for failure to pay the Client Security Fund fee in accordance with Practice Book Section 2-70.

6. A civil judgement was entered against Serafinowicz on behalf of Bank of America, N.A. for $14,425.33 which, after significant efforts by Bank of America to collect, remains unpaid. See Bank of America v. Serafinowicz, Robert A, Dkt. No. NNH-CV19-6089227-S.

7. On January 18, 2024, Jon Goodwin (me) filed a bar complaint against Serafinowicz alleging: fraud, conflict of interest, failure to obey a court order and refusal to appropriately communicate. Serafinowicz responded by lying to the Waterbury Judicial District Grievance Panel.
